Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through our contact page.

2. Data categories

Information we may collect

Information you provide

  • Contact form data: your name, email address, subject, and any information included in your message.
  • Comments: if commenting is enabled, the comment, name, email address, website, IP address, and browser user-agent may be processed for moderation and spam prevention.
  • Correspondence: information you send when asking a question, reporting an error, or exercising a privacy right.

  • IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser, device, operating system, referring page, requested URLs, date and time, and diagnostic or security events.
  • Page views, interactions, traffic source, session information, advertising identifiers, and consent choices where analytics or advertising technologies are permitted.
  • Cookies and similar local-storage technologies described below.
Please do not send sensitive information.

The contact form is intended for ordinary website questions. Do not submit passwords, financial details, government identifiers, medical records, or other sensitive personal information.

3. Purposes and legal bases

How and why we use information

Depending on the context and applicable law, Suspension HQ may process information to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the website.
  • Respond to messages, correction requests, and privacy inquiries.
  • Moderate comments and prevent spam, fraud, abuse, or malicious activity.
  • Understand aggregate traffic and improve content, navigation, and performance.
  • Display, measure, and manage advertising.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce website rights.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the legal basis may be consent for non-essential cookies, personalized advertising, and analytics; legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the site; steps requested by you when you contact us; or a legal obligation. Consent can be withdrawn at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

4. Cookies

Cookies, local storage, and consent choices

Cookies are small files stored on a device. Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, tags, and advertising identifiers. They may be placed by Suspension HQ or by third parties whose services appear on the site.

Category Typical purpose Choice
Essential Security, fraud prevention, website operation, and remembering privacy choices. Usually required for the service and not used for interest-based advertising.
Analytics Understanding page usage, traffic sources, device categories, and site performance. Used with consent where consent is legally required.
Advertising Serving, limiting, personalizing, measuring, and preventing fraud in ads. Consent or opt-out choices are provided where required by applicable law.
Embedded services Loading videos or other content supplied by external platforms. The external provider may set cookies under its own policy when content loads.

Where required, a Google-certified consent management platform displays available choices. Eligible visitors can accept, reject, or manage purposes and vendors. A privacy-settings or consent-revocation link may also appear at the bottom of the site. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although doing so may reset saved choices or affect website features.

5. Advertising

Google AdSense and advertising partners

Suspension HQ uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place or read cookies, use web beacons, or process IP addresses and device information as a result of serving ads on this site.

Google and its advertising partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s previous visits to Suspension HQ or other websites. Depending on location, consent, and account settings, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, contextual, or limited.

United States privacy choices

Suspension HQ does not sell contact-form names or email addresses for money. However, some state privacy laws may define interest-based advertising activities as “selling,” “sharing,” or processing for targeted advertising. Where applicable, eligible U.S. residents may use the privacy choices presented on the site or contact us to request an opt-out.

6. Measurement

Google Analytics

Suspension HQ may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, popular pages, referral sources, device categories, and website performance. Google Analytics may process online identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location, and interaction data. Google states that Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses.

Analytics is used with consent where required. Visitors can also learn about the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

7. External services

Embedded content, affiliate links, and other providers

Articles may include embedded videos, images, or other material from external platforms such as YouTube. Embedded content may behave as though the visitor went directly to the external provider. That provider may collect data, set cookies, or monitor interaction according to its own privacy policy.

Some pages may contain affiliate links, including links to online retailers such as Amazon. If a visitor follows an affiliate link or completes a purchase, the destination website processes the interaction under its own policies. Suspension HQ may receive a commission without increasing the visitor’s purchase price. We do not receive the payment-card details used for a purchase on a third-party retailer’s website.

If comments use Gravatar, an anonymized hash derived from an email address may be sent to the service to determine whether a profile image exists. See the Automattic privacy policy.

8. Recipients

When information may be shared

Information may be processed by service providers that support website hosting, email delivery, security, spam prevention, analytics, advertising, consent management, and embedded content. These providers process data under their own terms or on our behalf, depending on the service.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a valid legal request, protect users or the website, investigate abuse, or establish and defend legal claims. We do not rent contact-form information to marketing lists.

International data transfers

Some providers, including Google, Amazon, and embedded-content platforms, may process information in the United States or other countries. Where required, providers may rely on adequacy decisions, approved contractual protections, or other recognized transfer mechanisms. Their privacy notices provide more information about their practices.

9. Storage period

How long information is retained

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including security, dispute resolution, legal, accounting, and enforcement needs.

  • Contact messages may be retained while the inquiry is handled and for a reasonable period afterward.
  • Security and server logs are retained according to operational needs and provider settings.
  • Approved comments and associated metadata may remain while the comment is published unless removal is requested or legally required.
  • Cookie and consent-choice durations depend on the technology, vendor, and settings shown in the applicable consent interface.
10. Your choices

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to legal conditions or exceptions, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to personal information associated with you.
  • Request correction or deletion.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive certain information in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent or change cookie and advertising choices.
  • Opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing activities where applicable.
  • Appeal a privacy-request decision where local law provides that right.

To make a request, use our contact form and describe the request and the information involved. We may need to ask for proportionate verification before acting. We will not discriminate against a visitor for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Visitors in the European Economic Area may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. In Spain, this is the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

11. Safeguards

Security and children’s privacy

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Suspension HQ is a general automotive information website and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so the situation can be reviewed.
